Our Infant/Toddler program serves infants and toddlers ages 3 months to two years, and our Preschool and Primary classes serve children from ages 2 to 6 years old. Our Lower Elementary program includes children 6 to 9 years of age.
We are open year round, and our standard school day is 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. We also offer early care from 7:30 am and after care until 6:00 pm for families who need extra care.
Our school is in a brand new river-front tower with the latest in security and convenience. Our classrooms are outfitted with the finest in educational materials and supplies. We exceed the required staff to student ratios, to ensure the utmost in children’s learning opportunities.
The Montessori Method
Children learn best when they feel they have made their own discoveries. The materials in our Montessori classroom allow children the opportunity to explore, create, and build understanding through hands-on experiences. The teachers guide the whole child, following her in her quest for independence, concentration and a sense of order, as well as making social connections with peers and working with purpose.
Accreditation / Certification
Williamsburg Montessori will obtain accreditation and certification from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is associated with the American Montessori Society (AMS).
Our lead teachers have many years of classroom experience and are Montessori certified through MACTE accredited programs. They have advanced degrees in Early Childhood Education, as well as NY State teacher certification.
We do one thing, and one thing only. We dedicate our time and efforts to the furtherance of our children’s education, well being and contribution to the community as a whole.
